As we continue to grow, we are looking for a motivated and personable Dispensing Optician to join our team.
Role Overview
As a GOC-registered Dispensing Optician, you will play a key role in delivering outstanding patient care. You will provide expert advice on lenses and frames, ensure accurate dispensing to prescription, and support the wider team in maintaining our reputation for excellence.
Key Responsibilities
• Dispense single vision, bifocal, varifocal, and specialist lenses with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Advise patients on suitable lens types, coatings, and frame options tailored to their lifestyle and needs.
• Carry out frame adjustments, fittings, and aftercare services.
• Provide support and training to optical assistants and junior team members.
• Assist in maintaining stock levels of frames, lenses, and accessories.
• Ensure compliance with GOC standards and health & safety regulations.
• Contribute to the welcoming, professional, and patient-focused environment of the practice.
About You
• Qualified Dispensing Optician registered with the General Optical Council (GOC).
• Strong communication and people skills, with the ability to build lasting patient relationships.
• A keen eye for style and detail when advising on frames and aesthetics.
• Team player with a proactive and professional attitude.
• Commercial awareness with a patient-first ethos.
