Dear contact lens industry users of The Forum.:

I am looking for a UK RGP lab that can 'replicate' the following No7 lens designs. Being the rather perfectionist type and recognising many patients will have worn particular designs for many years, will not appreciate a design that is 'similar' but not the same, and I do not want to spend hours 'refitting' patients, often not achieving the results we both would like, if change had not been forced upon us, I would welcome a lab that can 'replicate' at least some of these designs.

Scleral Lenses
• ICD family
• SoClear

Corneal RGP Lenses
• Certain low-volume Multicurve profiles
• Dyna Z Cone
• Essential Multifocal
• Kerakone; Kerakone Toric
• Multicurve Bifocal
• Reclaim HD

Discontinuing the following materials
• Boston EO
• Boston ES
• Optimum Classic
• Optimum Comfort
• Optimum Extreme

Rather ironic to be advised of this from the lab concerned today, as the venue of my two day practical contact lens exams has just closed, and this lab, in a different location from its current seaside site and independently owned, manufactured my subject's scleral lenses, this is where I headed off to after the first day and collected from, for the second day. I passed.

Update: In just a few hours I have much communication, a few ECPs with suggestions. It would be nice to hear something from the industry horse's mouth. As soon as I hear I will post here and LinkedIn, ABDO forum and theOptom.com

Following the emails from No7 Contact Lenses, part of the CooperVision group, advising discontinuation of many of their lens designs, I have just been made aware of a publically available letter from Browning West, LP an investment management firm, addressed to The Cooper Companies Board of Directors www.globenewswire.com/news-release/2025/...rd-of-Directors.html

In light of this I would ask No7 Contact Lenses to suspend their decision to discontinue these very important unique lens designs for the foreseeable future.
